New roles for the 2026/27 academic year

Leeds West Academy launches recruitment drive for new teaching roles
Leeds West Academy is delighted to be recruiting for a number of teaching roles ahead of the next academic year, as we continue our confident journey of Evolving Excellence and meet the needs of our growing, thriving school community.
We are currently seeking to appoint Teachers of English, Science, Maths and Design Technology, with opportunities available up to full-time hours. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to join a happy, inclusive and ambitious academy where strong relationships, shared values and high expectations enable young people to thrive.
Leeds West Academy is rooted in its local community and proudly serves the areas of Bramley and Rodley. As part of the White Rose Academies Trust, the academy is popular and oversubscribed, with increasing numbers of families choosing Leeds West Academy as their first choice. Students engage positively with learning and contribute to a calm, purposeful environment where care, commitment and community are at the heart of daily life.
In our most recent inspection, Ofsted recognised Leeds West Academy as a school where pupils are happy, feel safe, and benefit from a culture built on strong relationships and shared values. This reflects the lived experience of our students, families and staff, and why there has never been a better time to join us.
Our vision is to unite and inspire our community through the power of education, opportunity and inspiration, securing successful futures for the children of the west of Leeds. This vision shapes everything we do. We believe that schools thrive when staff feel trusted, supported and able to do their best work, and when every young person is given the opportunity to succeed.
We are equally proud of the culture we have built for our staff. Leeds West Academy is a fabulous place to work, underpinned by a strong sense of belonging and shared purpose. Colleagues are supported to grow and innovate at every stage of their career through exceptional professional development. This includes bespoke CPD aligned to individual ambitions and whole-school priorities, fully funded qualifications, structured leadership pathways, and meaningful opportunities to contribute beyond individual roles.
Our academy benefits from outstanding facilities within a £30 million modern building, enhanced by a significant expansion completed in 2023. Bright, well-resourced learning spaces, alongside industry-standard performing arts and sports facilities, support an ambitious curriculum and a rich personal development experience for both students and staff.
We welcome applications from colleagues who share our belief in the transformative power of education, are committed to inclusion, and are excited by the opportunity to grow within a supportive and ambitious community.
If you are passionate about education and want to make a meaningful difference to the lives and outcomes of young people, we would love to hear from you.
