LWA strikes gold at the Olympics!
LWA’s finest athletes returned with an impressive medal collection after the E-ACT Olympics on Tuesday 19 July!
Taking place at Alexander stadium in Birmingham, the special event was the first time all E-ACT academies have met in one place for such an occasion.
Despite the long journey beforehand our athletes did themselves and the academy proud. All showed superb sportsmanship and put forth a great effort in all their competitions. LWA was also the only academy to have a cheerleader team, who did a fine job supporting our competitors.

- Stephanie (9SST) - 1st place in 800m (by a very wide margin!)
- Luke (10GPO) - 1st place in shot putt
- Sophie (11JRA) - 1st place in 200m
- Chloe (8DRB) - 2nd place shot putt
- Joshua (8PHE) - 2nd place in 200m
- Dean (11SBI) - 2nd place in 800m
- Hannah (11DHO) - 2nd place in discus
- Mario (8CSI) - 2nd place in javelin
- Chloe (7DRB) - 2nd place 800m
- Lucy (10ESH) - 2nd place in 200m
- Rebecca (11DH0) - 2nd place 800m
- Callum (7SPC) - 2nd place high jump
- Luke (9GPO) - 3rd place 200m
