On Sunday 8 May 2011 a group made up of Years 7, 8 and 9 students took part in the 2.5km Leeds Junior Fun Run. 

Part of the Jane Tomlinson Leeds half marathon that took place the same day, the students were part of a body of around 1500 children participating in the event.

Meeting at 8am, the students made their way to the starting point at Millennium Square in Leeds City Centre.  All our students put in a great performance and were a credit to themselves and the academy.

Funds raised by the young runners will go towards refurbishing areas that will help refurbish areas within Ward 48 – Paediatric Neurosciences and Ward 48a – Paediatric General Surgery at Leeds General Infirmary.

A great effort by all involved for a great cause!
