LWA Goes Green!
LWA’s ‘Eco Textiles’ EEP group has very busy this term and will shortly make a significant impact in the lifestyles of our students.
The group meet with Miss Ward every week to design and make eco-friendly clothing and accessories, recycling old fabrics into pillows, toys and phone socks. The group have also been involved in creating posters to raise awareness about litter dropping on academy premises.
To realise the aim of improving the environment and the cleanliness of the academy, research has begun into the cost of recycle bins to be placed throughout the building.
All of the EEP groups’ work will be put on display at the end of the year in an 'Eco' fashion show, which will display all the innovative outfits that have been made, a photographic display chronicling their work over the year and stalls selling some of their eco-friendly products.
Keep up the good work!
