LWA Sports Day 2010

LWA’s first annual Sports Day took place on Friday 9 July – and we couldn't have wished for a better day! The sun was shining and everyone had a smile on their faces.

The behavior and attitudes of the students was exceptional! It was wonderful to see everyone getting in the competitive spirit and cheering their team on whether blue, red or yellow. The cheerleaders were fantastic on their first major outing in front of 800 people. Well done girls!!

Everyone that took part in an event should be pleased that they gained points for their team. However there can only be one winner and the 'mighty yellows’ won!

Sports Day is going to be an annual event – South Leeds stadium has already been booked for the 8th July 2011, so we’re asking all students to get their thinking caps on and tell us what events they’d like next year.
