Jane Tomlinson Junior Fun May 2010
Mr Blacoe, Mrs Capstick, Mrs Banks & Mrs Banks would like to offer a massive congratulations to all the pupils listed below that took part in the Jane Tomlinson Junior Fun on Sunday 8th May.
Everyone ran, jogged, or walked around a 2.5km course starting & finishing in Millennium Square. 400 school children participated in the event, with 37 of these representing Leeds West Academy; the greatest number of entrants of any school on Leeds.
Everyone received medals for their achievements as well as a ‘goody bag’ from the sponsors.
All the Leeds West pupils, pledged to raise a minimum of £10 sponsorship, although many have raised significantly more. The top 3 fundraisers will be receiving prizes for the efforts soon.
The event was a fantastic success & all our students were a credit to themselves & the academy. Hopefully we’ll have even more people taking part next year!
