Turner Prize exhibition visit
Last week Year 12 and 13 Art, Graphics and Photography students had the unique opportunity to see this year’s Turner Prize exhibition.
Held at the Baltic Centre in Gateshead, the students got to see the varying pieces competing to receive the prestigious award, given each year to celebrate new developments in contemporary British art. Their visit was on the day the winner was announced, with some of our students even being interviewed for Channel 4 news! On the way back the party stopped off at the Angel of the North – a great end to an inspiring day for all involved!
