Uniform
A high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students. Academy uniform must be worn at all times.
The Academy uniform comprises of
- Black blazer with teal trim, jacket style for the girls
- Tie or scarf as chosen
- Jumper with teal and mustard banding on the v-neck
- White traditional full-button shirt for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10
- Plain black socks or tights
- White ‘rever’ collared shirt for girls to wear with scarf if chosen
- Black school style trousers for boys
- Black school style trousers OR black knee-length skirt for girls
- Completely black school-style shoes (no high heels, pumps, or high boots)
- For Year 11 students only, black shirt

Appropriate school bag
General Appearance
- Outdoor clothing may be worn over uniform to and from, the Academy but not in class or assembly
- Make up may be worn by girls in moderation
- There must be no extremes of hairstyle
- No jewellery except one small gold/silver stud in each ear. No other piercing anywhere on the face or tongue is allowed; covering with plasters is not acceptable
- No nail varnish is allowed
Uniform will be monitored upon entry to the Academy.
Physical Education / Dance
All students are expected to participate in PE / Dance. Suitable PE and/or Dance kit should be brought to every lesson. PE kit will be available from school – see the PE staff for details The PE kit consists of:
- Sports top, short sleeve
- Jogging pants / shorts
- Rugby top

Appropriate footwear for sport
Basic Equipment
For each lesson students will need:
- Planner
- Pens
- Pencils (including colours)
- Ruler
- Eraser
- Sharpener
- A bag big enough to carry all equipment (handbags and bootbags are not acceptable as an alternative bag for school equipment)
