Year 11 Exams Info Evening

Supporting revision and examination technique

At Leeds West Academy we know how important this year is for students in Year 11. As such we’re doing everything we can to ensure they are well-prepared for their GCSE examinations in the Spring.

Therefore we’d like to invite students and their families to a Year 11 Exams Information evening on Wednesday 7th December at 6pm, in which we’ll provide the following:

  • Detailed advice on what Year 11 students need to be learning at home.
  • Guidance on how best students should attempt revision and independent learning.
  • Essential resources that students will need in their journeys to exam success.
  • Access to senior staff, including the Senior Leaders and Heads of Department, so that you can ask any questions or voice any concerns to people directly.

Mr Rand, Assistant Principal, said: "In acknowledging that it will be cold, dark and approaching Christmas, we’ll also provide Pie and Peas for anyone who’d like it. We really hope that you and your son/daughter choose to come to this event as we believe it will be a key event in the school calendar. Year 11 is a tough year for any student, and the more we can do together, the more we can help students improve their exam preparation and levels of motivation, whilst reducing any anxiety they may be feeling."

Those who can attend should complete and return the slip which is available to download here.
