IDTA Scholarship Winner
Leeds West Academy is celebrating the achievements of a skilled student in Foundation School, who has been commended for dance at the Annual IDTA Scholarship Awards. The unique event took place at the Forest Arts Centre in Walsall, West Midlands.
When Kennady received 97 Honours for her freestyle dance exam, she was put through to the IDTA Scholarships from more than 5000 potential candidates. Kennady was entered into the Class A – Under 14 Years Category and won the Anna Jones Award for Outstanding Potential, bringing home a trophy and a £50 cheque to help further her dance career. Reflecting on her success, Kennady said: “It’s a great honour.”
Mr Bullock, Foundation School Leader adds: “Well done to Kennady on this superb extra-curricular achievement. Kennady’s skill, determination and resilience has shown how we can achieve great things when we focus our efforts. We all look forward to seeing Kennady show off her unique dance skills in future school productions at Leeds West Academy.”
