Considering University with Enact Solutions Drama Piece

On Tuesday 5th December, Year 12 students were treated to a theatre presentation from Enact Solutions. The drama piece, ‘Staying on Course’, explored the difficulties faced by many students in choosing whether to move on to university or do a higher/degree apprenticeship after sixth form.

In a short workshop, the students used electronic keypads to anonymously express their opinions in a number of areas, including the aspects of moving on to higher education that most worry them.

Miss Collins said: “Over the coming months our Year 12 students have some big decisions to make about their futures. This performance served as a great reminder that no one can make these decisions for you, but all of your peers are in the same boat!”

The event was planned as part of our partnership with Go Higher West Yorkshire and the National Collaborative Outreach Programme, which aims to highlight the benefits of higher education, whether this is through traditional university routes or through higher and degree apprenticeships.
